AI engineer by trade, CTO by responsibility.
I'm Farid Jiménez, CTO at Xentris Tech. My job is to keep the company's technology solid, useful and sustainable: choosing the architecture, picking the right battles and making sure what we promise reaches production.
I come from code and data. I started programming, moved into data science, and today I design systems with artificial intelligence and agents that automate real business processes. That path — code, data, AI, agents, product — is what I apply to every project I lead.
I believe in teams that deliver. That's why at Xentris we work with clear scopes, measurable phases and people who know their craft. AI is a powerful tool, but without engineering judgement it's just a pretty demo.

FAQ
What people usually ask me before we start.
Do you work with small companies or only large ones?+
Both. What defines a project isn't company size, it's how clearly the problem is defined. Many of the projects I lead started as a single, focused automation.
How much does it cost and how long does it take?+
It depends on scope, which is why I don't quote before understanding the case. The initial diagnosis is free: we talk, I understand what you need, and you get a written proposal with phases, timelines and pricing.
Is AI actually useful for my business?+
Not always, and I'll say so plainly. AI pays off when there's a repetitive process, or a lot of text and data someone handles by hand today. If your case doesn't call for it, I'll tell you and we'll find what does.
Who owns the code and the accounts?+
You do. Code, infrastructure and credentials stay in your name and documented. I don't build dependencies that lock you to me.
What happens after delivery?+
We support the move to production and leave everything documented. If you want ongoing support, we agree it separately; if you'd rather continue with your own team, it's ready for them to pick up.
Do you work outside Colombia?+
Yes. I work from Barranquilla and Xentris also operates from the United States as Xentris LLC, serving clients across LATAM and the USA remotely.
